In the next edition of our #EmployeeSpotlight series, we caught up with one of Hitec’s newest members of the team, Dan Rose to discover why he enjoys his role as Regional Account Manager, what he enjoys about working at Hitec and what he is hoping to achieve in his first year.
How long have you been working at Hitec?
Since December 2023
What does your job role involve?
Securing new business so that Hitec continues to grow and ensuring existing customers always receive the best care and attention possible for all their MHE requirements. I cover the CV, LE and parts of the NN postcodes which is a local area for me to be covering.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I’m a people person so meeting new people, building rapport with customers and earning repeat business through mutual trust is very satisfying.
What are you hoping to achieve in your first year at Hitec?
I would like to firmly establish myself in the areas that I cover as someone who customers know is a reliable point of contact for any MHE enquiries. This is because they recognise that I will give them a quick and practical solution to any queries that has their interests at heart.
What are your best attributes and skills that you’re bringing to Team Hitec?
I’ve got lots of experience in Account Management and have been successful through being an open and honest person. I fully commit to whatever it is that I’m doing and love helping the wider team be successful. I’m very sociable, easy to get on with and have a cheeky sense of humour so that helps too!
What do you enjoy most about working at Hitec so far?
The feeling of being part of close-knit, highly knowledgeable team where we all work together to achieve the best possible results for the customer and Hitec.
What’s your favourite film?
Too many to choose from but in no particular order I would say Snatch, Saving Private Ryan, Hurt Locker and Scarface!
Favourite meal?
Spicy Mexican food is my go-to
Favourite Musician?
I’ve got an eclectic taste in music, so Britpop, Indie, D&B, Hip Hop, Reggae and House usually appear on my playlist.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Well done is better than well said!
If you could be any celebrity, who would it be and why?
You can only be you, however, If I could spend any time with a celebrity, I’ll go for Liam Gallagher as I think it would be chaos!
