We are delighted to introduce Simon Lewis as the new General Manager for Hitec Lift Trucks.
Simon joined Hitec in February 2022 and brings with him a wealth of materials handling knowledge and insight to the role, after more than 35 years in the industry. Simon started out as an engineer for Midland Forklifts working on Hyster S50C and H50H machines and spent his last 15 years with the company as Managing Director.
Over the past 5 years, Simon has held numerous roles at Doosan and Rushlift, with a focus on operations. During this period, he was also the 5S champion. Implementation of the 5S methodology was by no means a quick fix, requiring a safety first mindset among staff, something which Simon sees demonstrated by the Briggs Group as a corporate culture on a daily basis.
Simon commented “I have known Hitec Lift Trucks since they started out in the industry, and they have always been known for local, friendly service. Looking back at my time working with a national service provider, I can see the benefits of being a local company and the relationships we have with so many companies across the region are a testament to that spirit of great local service.
“The foundations are in place to grow the company and get our customers to, as our strap line says, “Ask Hitec”. The Hitec team is of the highest quality, and we will continue to improve and provide a service that we would not only be happy to receive ourselves, but most importantly be proud to deliver to both new and existing customers.”
