Hitec delivers new fleet of Hyster forklifts to long term customer Freefoam

Hitec Lift Trucks has completed the delivery of a new fleet of Hyster counterbalance forklifts to its long term customer Freefoam. The new trucks arrived at the Northampton site in April 2021 and have replaced an existing fleet of competitor machines, which were unable to perform to the required intensity and demands.

Even though the trucks have only been in place for a short while, they are having an instant impact of productivity and efficiency, with production up by 25% since installation. The machines are specifically designed to operate in high intensity industrial environments and will support the growth and development of Freefoam’s business moving forward.

Paul Stiff, Hitec Lift Trucks’ Regional Business Development Manager, commented: “We are delighted to have completed this delivery of new trucks to Freefoam. We have worked closely with them previously on different projects and we’re proud to have been chosen to supply these latest additions to their equipment fleet.

“The trucks are all fitted with a range of safety features and will help improve on-site efficiency, whilst also providing the forklift drivers with a much more comfortable experience during operation.

“We’re looking forward to supporting Freefoam moving forward and we’ll be working closely with their team to ensure they are getting the most out of our their new equipment.”

Robinson Manufacturing Limited (RML) choose local business Hitec to supply new Combilift machines

Establishing strong partnerships with local businesses throughout the East of England has long been the Hitec Lift Trucks approach. Robinson Manufacturing Limited, who have a site in Wellingborough, also believe in the concept of ‘choosing local’ and recently took delivery of 3 new Combilift side-loader forklifts from Hitec to supplement their existing fleet.

The new machines are specifically designed for businesses that require robust and fast operation when moving products across sites, which was a key requirement identified during the evaluation process. Hitec were able to successfully demonstrate how the four-wheeled, two directional configuration of the equipment would help deliver a solution that simultaneously improved efficiency, productivity and safety.

The machines were delivered in December 2020 and the feedback from the operators has been extremely positive, with ease of use and the reliability of the machines specifically mentioned.

Paul Stiff, Hitec’s Regional Account Manager, commented: “Robinson Manufacturing Limited are very closely aligned with our own values of trusting and investing in local businesses and we’re delighted to have completed this delivery to their Wellingborough site. The Combilift machines are extremely popular with many customers as they offer a wide range of capabilities and excellent performance and it’s the perfect choice to match the customer’s requirements.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with them moving forward to ensure that they continue to get the most out of their equipment. The feedback we’ve had so far from the operators regarding the performance and reliability of the new machines has been excellent and despite only being on site for a few months, they are already proving their worth.”

Matt Davies, Head of QESH, Robinson Manufacturing Limited, said: “I have known Paul Stiff for many years. He has always been helpful and supportive when advising on anything to do with lifting plant machinery, helping RML make the right decisions on the equipment needed to maintain our production needs.”
